That his demise became news on 4 July, given his long years in Washington, seems strangely appropriate. Charles Wheeler is one of the first politicsl reports that I remember from his time in washington where he was covering Watergate, I was sad too to see he had died, but hadn't realised he was Boris's father-in-aw
