"Conversion to God is equally linked to conversion to the love of neighbour." - Segundo Galilea

"We should never neglect to listen to any discourse that supports piety, virtues, and good behaviour." - Bernard of Clairvaux

"Prayer should be brief and pure, unless it happen to be lengthened by an impulse or inspiration of divine grace." - The Rule of St Benedict

(The last one reminds me of the famous interview with the late Archbishop Michael Ramsey, a wonderful man. Asked how long he prayed each day, he said something along the lines of "sometimes only about about two minutes... but it takes several hours to prepare for those minutes.")
